OUR UTOPIA
This project was presented within the book museum of the celebrated Korean publishers, Youlhwadang, in Paju Book City, which is very close to the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. My themes was inspired by this fact, and by the discovery of an English language edition of Thomas More’s ‘Utopia’ in the museum. My exhibition included a scroll piece using the fictitious Utopian alphabet, a scroll and a series of coloured panels listing various names for Utopia from different cultures, and several Book-Paintings from books in the collection.
